Brandon Kilby Wins the Super Pohick Ice Bowl!

Brandon Kilby wins in a dramatic 5 hole playoff vs Naved Hasnain.

Tied at 49 after regulation equaling Erik’s score from
2009 - does that mean we’ll have the top 3 in the WORLD!?!?!
Ben Van Duesen in 3rd with a 50

The duo took to a 5 hole playoff
surrounding the central area 1,2,9,10&18

It was a seesaw battle.
hole 1 - Naved took a deuce to Brandons par
hole 2 - Brandon took advantage of a spit out to even it up
(the discs back edge hit the nub and brought it back out!)
hole 9 - Brandon takes the lead with a birdie
hole 10 - Naved evened it up with an amazing park job
hole 18 - tied up both players threw strong but both stayed left
not quite making the turn - but Naveds throw was deeper on the
left forcing a very difficult up shot which put him just out
of range for the par - Killby capitalized for the win

It was awesome!!!
and we raised another $260 for the Capital Area Food Bank
bringing the total rasied to $635

NoVa wins the MD vs. VA IceBowl Battle after sending 11 people to Seneca on Saturday, Team Virginia was down a whopping 35 points. But then, on Sunday Maryland only sent 5 people to Giles Run to defend their lead. Virginia ended up winning by 21 points overall!!!

80 + 25 = 105 Total points for Maryland
45 + 81 = 126 Total points for Virginia
